CYBERPUNK 2077
Senior Encounter Designer, CD Projekt Red

As an encounter designer on Cyberpunk 2077 I was mainly focused on the open world activities. I worked directly with the narrative and quest designers to ensure the encounters were fun, challenging, and supported a variety of play-styles. I worked on Gigs, Cyberpsycho bosses, and NCPD Hustles.

Cyberpsychos

Most of the work I did on the Cyberpsycho encounters was the arena layouts. I carved out small sections of the city and redesigned the arenas to support cover shooting, run-and-gun, and stealth takedowns. I assigned the character archetypes and in some cases did some light behavior scripting.

NCPD Hustles

I setup and supported over a hundred NCPD Hustles in Night City. They are the encounters all over the open world represented by the blue icons on the map. I assigned the enemy archetypes, setup their patrols, placed distraction devices for stealth gameplay, placed ammo and loot, and iterated the layouts for combat.
